Producer: Domaine Courbet, established in 1869, is a family-owned estate located in the Jura region of France. Currently managed by the father-son duo, Jean-Marie and Damien Courbet, the domaine has embraced biodynamic farming practices since 2005 and is transitioning to organic certification. Their commitment to sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention winemaking has positioned them as a notable producer within the Côtes du Jura appellation.

Vineyard & Winemaking: The 'Trousseau de la Vallée' 2022 is crafted from the Trousseau grape, indigenous to the Jura region. The vineyards are situated on light marne soils with limestone, conducive to cultivating red varieties like Trousseau. The Courbets employ short pruning and regular plowing to maintain vine health. Adhering to biodynamic principles, they refrain from using chemicals, harvest grapes manually, and utilize native yeasts during fermentation. This approach ensures that their wines authentically express the terroir of the Jura region.
